Actor Vijay Deverakonda recently celebrated the success of his latest romantic drama, Kushi by announcing his plan to donate Rs 1 lakh to 100 families to bring joy to them. Though his deed won him the love and appreciation of his fans, the distributor of his 2020 film World Famous Lover, Abhishek Nama, requested him to help him recover the losses he incurred because of the failure of the film.



Abhishek Nama from Abhishek Pictures had bought the rights of Deverakonda’s World Famous Lover in 2020. On Tuesday, he wrote on X (formerly Twitter), ‘Dear @TheDeverakonda, We lost 8 crs in the distribution of #WorldFamousLover, but no one responded over it!! Now as you are donating 1CR to the families with your big heart, Kindly requesting & Hoping for you to save us and our Exhibitors & Distributors families also 珞❤️ Thank you. Yours, Abhishek Pictures.’

The film distributor concluded his post with the hashtags, ‘#humanity #Love #empathy.’



At one of the Kushi’s promotional events in Visakhapatnam, Vijay Deverakonda announced on the stage, ‘You are happy, so am I. To celebrate it, I am planning to do something and I don’t know if it’s right or wrong. If I don’t, I won’t be able to sleep. I will give away Rs 1 crore from my earnings. from Kushi. I will select hundred families and I will give them one lakh each before the success meeting of the film which is set to happen in 10 days. If I can’t share my happiness with you, it’s a waste. I will put up a form on social media with (caption) ‘Spreading Kushi’ or ‘Devara Family’. If someone who is in emergency for rent and school fees gets it, I will be happy.’

On Tuesday, the actor shared the form through which those in need can apply. He wrote, ‘I wanted to share my success & happiness with you ❤️ So decided to share 1 crore from my #Kushi earnings with you. 100 families will be given 1 lac each! Apply below. It would make me happy if it really helped someone.’



To celebrate the success of Kushi, Deverakonda also visited the Yadadri Temple in Telangana with his family after the success of his movie Kushi.

Kushi, directed by Shiva Nirvana and also starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu, earned Rs 15 crore on day one, followed by Rs 9.9 crore on Saturday and Rs 10 crore on Sunday. On Monday, the film made Rs 4 crore, and on Tuesday, its collection fell further as it collected Rs 2 cr, bringing its total collection to Rs 39.40 cra, reported industry tracker Sacnilk.
